About

Built for the people who run youth sports

ProgramSlate is the program operating system for directors and coaches, with families kept in the loop.

Why we built it

Running a sports program today means stitching together a group chat, a spreadsheet, a paper depth chart, a shared calendar and a sign-up form, and nobody above the coach can see any of it.

Directors find out about problems after the fact. Coaches rebuild practice plans from scratch and track equipment from memory. Families get information from three or four channels and still miss schedule changes.

Most team apps stop at scheduling and chat. ProgramSlate goes further on both ends: a real view of the whole program for the director, and real planning tools for the coach.

From the founder

"I've coached youth sports at every level, from Pre-K soccer to high school and college athletes. As a coach, I wanted one tool in my hands that could do more than one job: help me prepare, keep me organized on the field, and keep the parents of my athletes in the loop.

I also know how many directions our athletic directors are pulled in, and I wanted to make their jobs easier too. Less paperwork, fewer apps, more organization, and more time for what matters most: the relationships with our athletes."

Justin, founder of ProgramSlate

What we believe

The whole program, not just one team

The person running a school athletic department or a multi-team club should see every schedule, roster and message without chasing anyone for them.

Depth where coaches spend their week

Practice plans, drills, depth charts, equipment and stats are the coach's real work. Those tools should be as good as the schedule and chat.

Families get clarity, not noise

Parents and guardians should know where to be and what changed, from one place, without joining four group chats.

Kids' information is handled with care

Each role sees only what it needs, guardians hold the account, and anyone can download or delete their data.

Where we are

ProgramSlate is working with a small group of pilot schools and clubs this season. What those programs tell us decides what we build next. If you run a program and want a say, get in touch.
